The International Gaming Institute at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, has formed the inaugural Executive Director’s Advisory Board to enhance gambling research and innovation. This initiative aims to provide cutting-edge insights and education to the global gaming and gambling sector.
For more than 30 years, the IGI has been at the forefront of gambling innovation, offering expertise in areas such as research, operations, and policy. The Executive Director’s Advisory Board will offer strategic guidance to help IGI maintain its position as a leader in gambling research and education worldwide.
IGI Executive Director Brett Abarbanel expressed enthusiasm about the board’s creation, stating, “It is my great pleasure to welcome this esteemed group to IGI’s inaugural Advisory Board.” She emphasized that the board will raise IGI’s academic profile, underscoring its mission through the commitment and dynamic perspectives of these accomplished experts.
Key Members of the Executive UNLV
The board comprises prominent figures such as Peter Arceo, Chief Gaming Officer at Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation, and Richard Baldwin, Managing Partner at GGHM. Other members include Jan Jones Blackhurst, an Independent Director at Caesars Entertainment, and Carlos Carrion from SlotCycle, among others.
Additional notable members include Daron Dorsey, President & CEO of AGEM, and Jessica Feil, Vice President of Regulatory Affairs & Compliance at OpenBet. They join a diverse group of leaders who will contribute their expertise to the evolving landscape of online gambling and gaming.
Strengthening Global Gambling Research and Education
Lori Kalani from DraftKings and David Lopez, CEO of AGS, are among the key figures joining this initiative. Their collective experience will be instrumental in fostering connections between the IGI and its stakeholders, further solidifying UNLV’s role as an intellectual hub for global gambling research.
