The Massachusetts casino revenue climbed 1.7% in June, with commercial casinos collectively generating $97.7 million. This is an increase from the $96.1 million reported in June 2024.
Massachusetts Gaming Commission data shows that the combined gross gaming revenue from the state’s three licensed casinos declined from May’s $105.4 million, marking a month-on-month drop of just under 9%.
Massachusetts Casino Revenue Climbs Amid Decline at Top Venue
Despite the overall growth, the state’s top-performing venue, Encore Boston Harbor, experienced a slight dip. Its share of the total casino revenue fell marginally from 63% in June 2024 to just less than 62% this year. Revenue also dropped 0.2%, from $60.4 million to $60.2 million.
Meanwhile, other casinos demonstrated solid growth. MGM Springfield, which accounted for around 23% of June’s revenue, witnessed a 4.1% increase, rising from $21.9 million to $22.8 million. Plainridge Park Casino experienced the strongest percentage gain, surging 5.9% to $14.6 million, up from $13.8 million in June 2024.
Tribal Operations and Expansions
