Maryland casinos reported gaming revenue of $160.7 million in June, reflecting a 1.4% drop compared to June 2024’s $162.9 million. Additionally, revenue fell 8.9% from May’s figures. The Maryland Lottery and Gaming report highlighted that two out of the six casinos managed to increase their gaming revenue year-over-year.
Maryland Casinos and Their Revenue Performance
Ocean Downs Casino experienced the most significant percentage growth among Maryland casinos, with its revenue rising by 4.3% to reach $8.5 million, compared to $8.1 million the previous year. Horseshoe Casino also posted a modest revenue growth of 0.8%, generating $14.3 million, up from $14.1 million.
Meanwhile, Rocky Gap Casino’s revenue saw a slight increase of just $2,000, totaling $4.6 million. However, other casinos experienced a decline in revenue. MGM National Harbor, the leading revenue generator, brought in $67.2 million, a decrease of 1.4% from $68.2 million previously. Live! Casino & Hotel recorded $59 million in revenue, down 2.4% from $60.4 million. Additionally, Hollywood Casino saw a revenue decline of 3.7%, to $7.2 million from $7.5 million.
