Louisiana casino revenue growth surged by 12.7% this May, showcasing the vibrant rise in gambling revenues across the state. The total adjusted gross receipts for the state’s 16 casinos reached $197.2 million, a notable increase from last year’s $175 million.

Key Figures in Louisiana Casino Revenue Growth

The Louisiana State Police reported that the Golden Nugget Lake Charles led the way with $30.3 million in revenue, marking a 3% increase compared to last year’s $29.5 million. L’Auberge Lake Charles also experienced growth, with revenues climbing from $28.8 million to $27.2 million, up by 5.6%. Winners and Losers in Louisiana Casino Revenue Growth

Among the casinos, Treasure Chest saw the most substantial percentage increase, doubling its revenue by 100.6% from $7.2 million to $14.5 million. In contrast, Margaritaville and Sam’s Town faced challenges, recording double-digit declines. Margaritaville’s revenue fell by 20.7%, going from $17.3 million to $13.7 million, while Sam’s Town decreased by 19.5% year-over-year, from $3.8 million to $3 million.
