Mark Gruetze, a longtime contributor, detailed McGlasson’s path from a rookie newspaper photographer to his first sales position, before moving to Las Vegas in 1987. There, as General Manager of the Las Vegas Sun, he played a pivotal role in negotiating a Joint Operating Agreement with the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

McGlasson joined CDC Gaming in 2016 as its first dedicated Advertising Manager. Recalling McGlasson’s hiring, Jeffrey Compton had found him through a Craigslist ad. Given McGlasson’s experience at the Sun, Compton was quick to bring him on board. “He reviewed our project and said, ‘You have a great product, but results might take a year.’ It turned out it took only seven months,” Compton recalled.

The company extends its gratitude to McGlasson for his contributions and wishes him a fulfilling retirement. Following his departure, CDC Gaming seeks a dynamic individual to lead client relationships and sales. Details will follow soon.
