The newest partner in the InfiGifts player rewards program greatly enhances personalization options for both operators and customers through its innovative redemption solutions.
InfiGifts branded gift card solutions enhance casino experiences
InfiGifts has announced a pivotal partnership with Blackhawk Network, a leader in the branded payments sector, specializing in gift cards. This collaboration marks a significant shift in how casinos approach digital gifting strategies, according to InfiGifts founder and CEO Azam Husain.
“Operators are now more confident about leveraging digital gift solutions, and players are increasingly comfortable with digital rewards,” said Husain. Blackhawk Network offers an extensive range of gift cards for over 1,000 brands and operates across 28 countries.
American Place Casino in Waukegan, Illinois, is set to launch the new InfiGifts Digital Gift Card, providing access to Blackhawk’s wide array of offerings. This allows players to select from a broad category of options, including dining, retail, travel, and entertainment.
Husain noted, “We enable players to pick brands they prefer. Rewards can be split, such as a $50 reward being used between a $25 restaurant gift card and a $25 retailer gift card.”
Seamless and personalized gifting experiences
This integration grants casino operators the ability to create a seamless, personalized gifting journey. Customers can access InfiGifts digital cards via a mobile device, casino kiosks, or with assistance from attendants using the InfiGifts portal.
Research by Blackhawk Network highlights the growing trend towards digital gift cards:
- By 2028, digital gift cards will represent nearly 43% of total gift card expenditure.
- 58% of users are likely to spend beyond the gift card’s value, sometimes significantly more.
- Gift cards drive loyalty program participation, especially among younger consumers.
Jared Bodnar, head of enterprise marketing at Blackhawk Network, expressed pride in the new partnership. “This solution allows operators to engage players on-demand, personalize promotions, and effortlessly manage rewards,” he emphasized.
Many casinos currently utilize physical gift cards within player rewards programs. The InfiGifts and Blackhawk partnership introduces a digital alternative that can be implemented efficiently within existing casino infrastructures. This approach allows operators to spotlight popular local brands and further customize the player experience.
Husain advised that gift cards should complement broader gifting strategies. Casinos might sometimes select physical gifts for players to retrieve in person or have them delivered, while digital solutions might be preferable at other times. “It’s about providing casinos with flexible gifting solutions,” he stated.
Despite the range of digital options, the primary objective remains to reward loyal patrons effectively. “Whether physical or digital, gifting mechanics are about motivating visits,” added Husain.
