The incident stemmed from a golf tournament in Australia in which Tison bet on golfer Joel Nachshon to lead after the first round. His wager, placed at 200-1 odds, should have been at 4-1 odds due to a system error.
An error in updating Nachshon’s name led to odds being misrecorded at 200-1, which were higher than the correct 4-1 odds. This mistake rendered the initial odds stale and prompted Caesars to adjust the payouts accordingly.
