Maine casino revenue performance soared by 10.4% in May as the state’s two commercial casinos, Hollywood Casino and Oxford Casino, generated a combined net revenue of $15 million. According to a report from the Maine Gambling Control Unit, significant net revenue growth bolstered both establishments. Hollywood Casino’s revenue climbed from $5.1 million to $5.8 million, a substantial 14.9% increase from the previous year. Similarly, Oxford Casino experienced a 7.7% boost, with revenue rising from $8.5 million to $9.2 million.

Both casinos also saw notable month-over-month improvements. Their total combined revenue in April 2025 was $13.8 million, setting the stage for an 8.3% rise by May. This surge included returns for Hollywood Casino at 10.3% and Oxford Casino at 7.2%.

In May, slot revenue constituted around 85% of the total for both casinos. Oxford Casino reported net slots revenue of $7.8 million, complemented by $1.3 million from table games. Meanwhile, Hollywood Casino produced $4.9 million from slots and $914,078 from table games.

The Maine House of Representatives recently advanced a proposal to expand tribal control over online gambling, including online casino gaming.
