Hi, my name is Ed Yarovyi, and I’m excited to tell you about my news project, The Wall Slots Journal.
I launched this platform because I saw a gap in the U.S. gambling media landscape. Most sites either recycle press releases or focus strictly on bonuses and clickbait. I wanted something different, an editorial space with a voice. With over 7 years of hands-on experience in the gambling industry, (chek Linkedin click) a background in journalism ( former member from 2019 at IFJ – International Federation of Journalists), war documentary filmmaking (15 nominations in film festivals and more than 30 million views coverage), and digital marketing, I decided to combine all of it into one project.
Before moving to the U.S., I founded a gambling news site ( member Gambling Portal Webmasters Association) in Ukraine right after the market was legalized. Unfortunately, the war forced me to shut it down. Not long after, I hit the jackpot, not in cash, but in life: I won the U.S. Green Card lottery, and my wife and I relocated to Dallas, Texas.
The name The Wall Slots Journal is a personal nod to one of the publications I’ve followed for years, The Wall Street Journal. This project reflects how I see gambling in everyday life. It’s not just about games. It’s about culture, law, business, and behavior. I write personal editorials, attend conferences, analyze trends, review online casinos and slots, and cover key industry events from my own perspective.
In the future, I plan to launch independent ratings of legal gambling platforms, both online and offline, using referral links and promo codes to keep the project sustainable.
For me, this site is not just a media outlet. It’s the culmination of my skills, passions, and long-term vision. The Wall Slots Journal is where editorial freedom meets gambling intelligence.
